CC007 House

This very popular sized chicken coop is perfect for set ups where this forms part of a larger run area like our metal runs. 

It has the following key features.

  • Treble nest box area
  • 3 x internal perches
  • vent that can be opened and closed
  • sliding pophole
  • pull out cleaning tray
  • suitable for up to 9 hens (min welfare standards) most customers use it for 4 to 6.

The overall dimensions are 100cm x 124cm (includes overhangs and nest box) . full dimensions on photo 3.

This unit is supplied flat packed for easy home assembly.

Treatment and care - Although this product comes treated from the factory we recommend treating again within a month of assembly or if its winter ideally before use, with a good quality preserver ideally a oil / solvent based product like Barrattine, and repeat once or twice a year as necessary, this will protect the wood and help avoid mould spores forming in damp winter weather. This unit works best when used in a covered run due to the wooden roof.

Delivery was fine -
When we were building it the tray was too narrow for the runners so we had to add an extra runner to make it slide properly!
In one part of instructions it stated to use size B screws-these however were too long and the points came through to the house,we think they should have been size D.
Once we sorted these problems we are very pleased with the house and would recommend your company!

Thank you for your review and feedback, the tray would not be too narrow but when fitting the side panels they needed to be a little bit closer in to close the gap. Sorry to hear about the screws we will ask the manufacturer to take more care.

Good hut but few flaws

Had to tweak a couple of flaws with this product. Rain came into the nesting box area so have put some rubber covering on the lid. I have 4 hens and would not want to put any more than two more in here so the description of up to 9 is very optimistic . Other than that, this will do well for its purpose. After a couple of coats of paint it looks nice .

Really lovely coop.

Solid coop, really pleased with it. I did spend time giving it the cuprinol treatment, as my ladies wanted it in pink lol. I also was so delighted in the service from The Hen House Company, staff were great, informative and delivery was so quick.
