Treatment - Although this product comes treated from the factory we recommend treating again within a month of assembly or if its winter ideally before use, with a good quality preserver ideally a oil / solvent based product like Barrattine, and repeat once or twice a year as necessary, this will protect the wood and help avoid mould spores forming in damp winter weather.

Second coop

We are taking in six new ex bat hens next weekend. We had purchased this coop previously for our existing girls and decided to get another one so that they would match. It’s a lovely coop however an extension is needed for space and it would not be big enough on its own for even 4 hens. That being said, an extension is easy enough to add on and it’s a nice, secure coop.

Thank you for your continued business and feedback.

The unit meets minimum welfare standards for 6 to 8 regular hens, our opinion is it’s comfortable for 4 to 6 without a extension. Anyone thinking of buying one we recommend having a measure up and work out what meets your needs, we have coops for all capacities and budgets.

Chicken house for 1 cockerell and his 4 ladies

Great indoor space for resting and nesting.
Downstairs is snug for our mighty cockerell but we hav plenty of garden for him to strutt his stuff. Easy to put together but the pictures are poor so we played guess the piece of wood!!!

Very pleased with the product so would recommend.
